One morning a girl begins a journey over hills and valleys. She is followed by her cat. In the evening before she sleeps she helps an injured bird. Next morning she places the bird gently in her pack and continues her journey. The cat follows … its eyes always on the bird…. In this was they continue for many, many days, through fine and fierce weather. The bird begins heal and rides on the girl's shoulder…....... and so they go on–– the cat, the bird and the girl–– through wind and snow and sunshine until at last they come back to the place they began. The bird has grown strong and free. The cat watches. A decision is made and a dream has ended... or has it?
